“We”, “us” and “our” refer to Loan Firm Pty Ltd and, where relevant, the broker, aggregator, Australian Credit Licensee and related businesses identified in the Credit Guide provided to you. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

How information moves through the lending process
How we collect information
Where reasonable and practical, we collect information directly from you. We may also receive information from authorised representatives, accountants, solicitors or conveyancers, employers, credit reporting bodies, lenders, valuers, insurers, service providers and LMG Broker Services.
Who we may disclose it to
Information may be shared with prospective lenders and funders, mortgage insurers, valuers, credit reporting bodies, identification and verification providers, aggregators, compliance and IT providers, your authorised representatives, regulators and government bodies where required or permitted by law.
Overseas recipients
Some service providers, data-hosting providers or related entities may be located outside Australia, including in the Philippines and the United States. We take reasonable steps to protect information disclosed overseas where required.
Website data and cookies
Our website may collect technical information such as IP address, browser information, cookies and usage data. Cookies can support site functionality, security and analytics. You may control cookies through your browser settings.
Access, correction and marketing preferences

Where lawful and practical, you may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym for general enquiries. Identification will usually be required when we provide credit assistance or process an application.
Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information is retained or securely destroyed in line with legal and business requirements.
